This quiet Cornish community is only 2.5 miles from the stunning north Cornish coast, which is home to some of the world's highest cliffs and most beautiful scenery. It's a great vacation home base for those who want to hike the South West Coastal Path, see the neighbouring Bodmin Moor, or just relax on the beach at nearby Trebarwith Strand. The picturesque fishing village of Port Isaac is just a short drive away, as is the bustling tourist hub of Tintagel, home to the fabled King Arthur's castle. Polzeath, meanwhile, is only nine miles away and features a beautiful surf beach. Just five minutes away lies Slaughtersbridge, the site of King Arthur's last fight, while farther north along the coast is the picturesque inlet of Crackington Haven. A place removed from the crush of tourists, but nevertheless conveniently close to a wide variety of attractions. The actual Delabole Quarry is nearby and offers a unique tourist experience with breathtaking vistas. Great hikes in the countryside can be accessed from here.

Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.
