This quiet Cornish community is only 2.5 miles from the stunning cliffs and landscapes of the north coast, which was formerly the world's largest producer of high-quality building and ornamental slate. A great vacation home base, it's close to the beach at Trebarwith Strand, the high points of Bodmin Moor, and the South West Coastal Path. The picturesque fishing village of Port Isaac is only a short drive away, as is the bustling tourist town of Tintagel, home to the fabled King Arthur's castle. Polzeath, meanwhile, is only nine miles distant and features a beautiful surfing beach. The legendary site of King Arthur's final fight, Slaughtersbridge, is just five minutes away, and the picturesque bay of Crackington Haven may be seen by driving north along the coast. A place removed from the crush of tourists, yet nonetheless conveniently close to a wide variety of attractions. The Delabole Quarry is not far away and makes for a fascinating day trip because to its prime location and breathtaking vistas. From here, you may access wonderful hikes throughout the countryside.

Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.
