Being one of the oldest market towns in Cornwall, Penryn is a delightful port with a rich history of harbour architecture and lovely granite houses that steeply cascade along the cobbled lanes down to the sea. In addition to a free museum and the serene Enys Gardens on the town's outskirts, which offer a variety of grounds and a pleasant retreat, the town has a good selection of restaurants, cafes, and bars. One mile from the shore, just one mile along the Penryn River, is the renowned seaport of Falmouth, which offers a variety of entertainment options, including lively town centres, magnificent Blue Flag beaches, and pubs and restaurants with harbour views. Visit Pendennis Castle, a beautiful Tudor fortress with a great location looking out to sea, or the National Maritime Museum for a taste of Cornwall's seafaring past. Penryn is the ideal base from which to explore all of Cornwall's attractions because you don't need to travel far to find its many sights, delights, and breathtaking coastline.

Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.
