Off the main road leading to Newquay, in the tranquil village of St. Columb Minor, there is a store and a top-notch neighbourhood bar called the Farmers Arms. Here, a variety of weekly activities seem to be the most well-liked, in addition to being well-known for their food and local ales. The majestic village church, which dates to circa 1430 and is located across from the bar, has served as a signpost for generations of fishermen thanks to its tall tower. There are so many beautiful beaches in Newquay that you will be spoiled for choice, but Porth beach is the best for families. It is a wonderful sandy beach with a sheltered aspect that is shielded by headlands on both sides and has long been a favourite among locals. The town of Newquay, which is less than a mile away and is renowned as the centre of the UK's surf scene, is a watersports haven with three major beaches, the National Surf Centre, and an inexhaustible supply of rolling surf.
Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.
