It is home to a traditional pub, a restaurant, a church and a handful of shops. The surrounding area is perfect for ramblers, with an abundance of creekside and woodland walks, and subtropical gardens at Glendurgan and Trebah. The Helford River also offers opportunities for kayaking and sailing as well as fishing. The nearby maritime town of Falmouth is a popular resort, with a range of shops and restaurants, bowling alley and the National Maritime Museum…. Or why not catch the ferry from Helford Passage to Helford Village and explore the picturesque South Helford? Enterprise Boats offer trips up the River Fal from Falmouth to Truro, passing iconic maritime locations and landmarks as well as several ocean-going vessels which anchor in the river.
Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.
