Abersoch Main Beach, with its miles of soft sand, is likely the most well-known beach in the region. The Llyn Peninsula and its environs are home to an abundance of stunning beaches, such as the rocky Porth Ceriad and the sandy Porth Oer ("Whistling Sands"). The National Trust owns the vast majority of the coastline, and it is dotted with secluded coves, sandy beaches, and cliffs, as well as wildlife sanctuaries like Bardsey Island.
