Builth Wells, also known by its Welsh name Llanfair-ym-Muallt, is a charming market town that serves as a great home base for exploring Mid-Wales. This is the perfect place for walking, pony trekking, and mountain biking, and it also has a lot of intriguing craft shops and collectors' fairs. The town has an intense 18-hole golf course, a sports complex, and the Wyeside Arts Centre, which hosts numerous live performances in addition to a movie theatre. The Royal Welsh Showground, located across the River Wye, is where the well-known Royal Welsh Show is held in July. There are also other events held there throughout the year. This fantastic location is a utopia for outdoor enthusiasts or those simply looking to unwind amidst gorgeous scenery, since Llandrindod Wells, a spa town, is only 8 miles away and the stunning Bannau Brycheiniog National Park (Brecon Beacons National Park) and Black Mountains are easily accessible. Builth Wells is a great starting point that serves as a gateway to Wales.
Famous for its choirs, stunning mountain ranges and beautiful valleys, this wonderful country has something for everyone. From Snowdonia in North Wales to the Brecon Beacons and the Pembrokeshire Coast in the South.
