Numerous miles of beautiful sandy beaches are nearby, and boat tours leave from Seahouses every day if you want to visit the seal colony or bird sanctuary on the renowned Farne Islands. The beautiful castles at Bamburgh, Cragside, and Alnwick (seat of the Duke of Northumberland), to name just a few, are just a few of the many castles and grand mansions to tour. Additionally available nearby are golf, fishing, and riding.
