The Burgage House is an impressive stone-built cottage located in the centre of Warkworth, voted one of the prettiest villages in the UK. Benefitting from two reception rooms, four bedrooms and a beautiful garden to the rear, this well-equipped, spacious family holiday home is ideal for couples or families wanting to holiday together. With the central location, you have everything you could wish for right on your doorstep; the castle, riverbank, the beach, dog-friendly pubs and café’s. Warkworth, a picturesque medieval village is enclosed by a winding loop of the River Coquet and the skyline is dominated by the remains of Warkworth Castle. ACCOMMODATION GROUND FLOOR Entrance from Castle Street. Lounge with comfy sofas, TV, feature fireplace with gas fire, piano and a selection of books. Kitchen (well equipped) with gas cooker, double electric oven, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, microwave. Breakfast bar with two stools. Utility room with washing machine, sink and an additional fridge/freezer. Second lounge/dining room with ample comfy sofas, TV and DVD player. Dining table with seating for 8 and access to the gardens. FIRST FLOOR Bedroom 1 with King size bed, chaise long, dresser, wardrobe and a selection of books. Bedroom 2 with double bed, fitted wardrobe and dresser. Shower room with shower, WC and basin. Bedroom 3 with zip and link super King size bed or two single beds and dresser. Bedroom 4 with two single beds. Family bathroom with bath, separate shower, WC, wash hand basin and heated towel rail. OTHER FACILITIES Parking nearby. Large enclosed rear garden (over two levels with steps) including patio, decking, seating and lawns. Gas central heating. All power, linen and towels included in the rent. 2 well behaved dogs welcome. Amble Leisure Club Membership for upto 6 guests.

Lying in the loop of the River Coquet on the Heritage Coast, Warkworth is a picturesque village, dominated by the dramatic ruins of its 12th century castle. The history of the village and the castle are intertwined with the Percy Family who took over the castle in 1332. The Percys’ other home is nearby Alnwick Castle, most recently associated with Harry Potter as the film location of Hogwarts School. The main street is lined with Georgian and early Victorian houses and there is an exceptional range of galleries, antiques shops, a village shop/Post Office, pubs, restaurants and gift shops to suit all tastes. Warkworth has its own stretch of sandy beach and a 9 hole pay and play golf course. Also within easy touring distance are Hadrian’s Wall, Bamburgh Castle, Holy Island, the Farne Islands, several wonderful beaches and Alnwick Garden with its remarkable water cascade and Tree House Restaurant.

Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian’s Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.
