Outside there is private parking for two cars and a front garden overlooking the countryside. Within 3 miles there is a shop and 2.2 miles a pub. One well-behaved dog welcome, but sorry, no smoking. This friendly village has a great location for hikers and cyclists, as it is only nine and a half miles from Taunton, the main city in the neighbouring county. In addition to a post office, a general store, a pub, and the Churchinford Community Hall, the village also has a few more amenities. An enjoyable day may be had by visiting Otterhead Lakes, a well-maintained nature reserve that provides a safe haven for the local flora and fauna; visitors can enjoy leisurely strolls through the preserve while taking in the picturesque vistas of the lake. Taunton is a great place to take the family because it has much to do for people of all ages. There are many parks, a riverwalk along the Tone, and great restaurants and bars.
