The living areas in this second-floor apartment consists of an open-plan living space with kitchen equipped with electric oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer and dishwasher, a dining area with seating for six guests and a sitting area with Smart TV. The bedrooms consist of a king-size, a double with en-suite bathroom and a twin, along with a shower room. Outside there are communal gardens with lawn and furniture, access to a tennis court and off-road parking for one car. Within 1.2 miles you will find a shop, within 0.5 miles, a pub and within 0.1 miles, a lake and please note that one well-behaved pet is welcome but sorry, no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. 8 Meadowcroft is a lovely base, perfect for a family trip to Cumbria. Note: Child facilities not provided. Windermere Lake Cruises in Bowness offers a choice of boat cruises and boat rental options to Brockhole, Ambleside, and Lakeside (at the southern end of the lake where the Lakeside Aquarium and the Lakeside and Haverthwaite Railway are situated). The Old Laundry Theatre and the World of Beatrix Potter Attraction are separated by 1.5 kilometres. It takes 30 minutes to walk to Orrest Head to take in the breathtaking vista of far-reaching views over the lake and nearby fells, which served as the inspiration for Alfred Wainwright to create his series of renowned guidebooks. The historic villages of Grasmere, Ambleside, and Troutbeck are only a short drive away, while Brockhole, which provides high wire tree top activities, is three miles distant. For those with greater energy, marine centres near the lake offer a range of watersports. With easy access to attractions like the stunning Langdales, Beatrix Potter's Hill Top House at Far Sawrey, Coniston, Grizedale Forest Park with its delightful walks and famous outdoor sculptures, mountain biking and "Go-Ape" adventure park, Ullswater, Kendal, and Keswick, stone circles, Roman forts, and England's highest mountain, Scafell Pike, the area is perfectly situated for exploring everything this region has to offer.
