Latch Cottage is a superb cottage resting in central Keswick. Set over three floors, the cottage comes with one king-size bedroom and a bathroom with a shower over bath, basin and WC, ideal for two guests. Completing the interior is an open-plan living room with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburning stove, as well as a lower-ground-floor utility. Within 0.4 miles there is a shop and 0.1 miles a pub. One well-behaved dog welcome, but sorry, no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power, starter for woodburning stove, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. Latch Cottage is the ultimate couple’s getaway to the Lakes. Note: This property is a typical Lakeland cottage which has low doorways and steeper stairs. Note: The steps going down from the kitchen to the boot room are steep, please take care. Note: The garden can be accessed from the back door in the boot room or by the path at the front door. Note: Check-in from 4pm, check-out by 10am.
Keswick, the holiday hub of the Northern Lake District, is a great place to visit any time of year. Derwentwater, the beautiful lake at the head of the stunning Borrowdale Valley, is only paces away from the town centre, and the town itself features a wide variety of shops and restaurants to suit any taste. Located close by, between Braithwaite and Buttermere, the stunning Newlands Valley is a must-see, as is the stunning Bassenthwaite Lake. It's easy to find a walk that suits your mood and fitness level, from a stroll around the countryside to a climb of Skiddaw or the renowned Catbells. Take a fantastic boat excursion around Derwentwater, or check out Castlerigg Stone Circle, Jennings Brewery, and Mirehouse, a stately house and gardens on the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake. There are many things to do and see here that are perfect for families, including beautiful parks and the Lake District Wildlife Park, making this a fantastic Lake District destination year-round.
