There are three farms and sixteen thatched homes there. It was primarily constructed in the middle of the 18th century. The majority of the locals have lived there their entire lives. It is situated on a rocky hillside with a view of Windwhistle Hill. Forde Abbey House and Gardens are among the local landmarks. Both the Chard Museum and the Axe Valley Wildlife Park are accessible by car. Thorncombe offers a charming village shop with helpful employees.
