Seahouses is home to numerous retail establishments in addition to a wide range of restaurants and drinking establishments. There are many beautiful sandy beaches in the area, and day trips from Seahouses to the nearby Farne Islands, home to a bird refuge and seal colony, are not to be missed. The majestic castles of Bamburgh and Cragside, and Alnwick (the residence of the Duke of Northumberland), are only a handful of the many castles and stately buildings that can be visited. It's also possible to go golfing, fishing, or horseback riding in the area.
