The settlement of Mylor Bridge is located at the head of Mylor Creek, which rises from Carrick Roads, the third largest deep water harbour in the world. A riverfront tavern and some wonderful gardens are typical of the area, as are boats and sailing, wooded creeks, gently lapping water, and the pubs themselves. Within walking distance of this welcoming village is a Post Office, an excellent tavern, and a number of eateries. Truro, with its historic cathedral, cathedral city status, theatre, museums, and lively commercial centre, is not to be missed, nor is the neighbouring harbour town of Falmouth, with its intriguing Maritime Museum, castle, beaches, and marina. See the incredibly picturesque Glendurgan and Trebah Gardens on your way up the Helford River by car or boat from Falmouth. The Lizard Peninsula, with its rocky shores, sandy coves, and quaint fishing villages, is conveniently close, and you can reach other popular attractions like the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan in about an hour.

Cornwall’s visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britain’s premier holiday destinations.
