The living areas in the property consists of a kitchen/diner equipped with electric double oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, two dishwashers and dining seating for ten guests, a sitting room with TV and woodburning stove and a shared games room with pool table and table tennis. The bedrooms consist of a ground-floor super-king-size with en-suite shower room, a king-size with en-suite shower room, a super-king-size, a king-size and a twin, along with a bathroom. Outside there is a private front garden with furniture and barbecue, as well as private parking for two cars. Within 3.5 miles you will find a shop and within 2.2 miles, a pub and please note that one well-behaved pet is welcome but sorry, no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are also available on request. The Farmhouse is a fabulous base for a family escape to Derbyshire.
A charming little market town with a charming rural feel that offers a nice assortment of stores, eateries, and bars in addition to regional farmers markets. The town's historic market hall dates back to the 17th century, and a contemporary recreation facility with a pool is close by. In the Peak District National Park, Bakewell is conveniently located for visiting this stunning area. Within reasonable driving distance are Britain's top theme park, Alton Towers, as well as the rocky Black Peak and the softer limestone White Peak. The spectacular caverns in neighbouring Castleton and Little John's burial site in Hathersage are both well worth a visit, as are the other stately homes to be visited, including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, and Hardwick Hall to name a few. See the spectacular Edwardian Opera House in Buxton, which was created by Frank Matcham, who also created the London Palladium.
