The living areas in this property consist of an open-plan living space with kitchen equipped with electric double oven, induction hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and a dining area with seating for two guests and a sitting area with TV and woodburning stove. There is one king-size bedroom, along with a bathroom. Outside there is private parking for two cars. Within 3.5 miles you will find a shop and within 2 miles, a pub and please note that two well-behaved dogs are welcome but sorry, no smoking. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. A travel cot, highchair and stairgate are available. Love Bird is a charming base for a romantic getaway in the Peak District. Note: Guests also have access to a shared indoor heated swimming pool, an open field with football nets/badminton, boot room and secure storage in the bike shed. Note: This property can also accommodate stag and hen dos, as well as weddings. Note: Towels for swimming pool not provided, guests are encouraged to bring their own.
A charming little market town with a charming rural feel that offers a nice assortment of stores, eateries, and bars in addition to regional farmers markets. The town's historic market hall dates back to the 17th century, and a contemporary recreation facility with a pool is close by. In the Peak District National Park, Bakewell is conveniently located for visiting this stunning area. Within reasonable driving distance are Britain's top theme park, Alton Towers, as well as the rocky Dark Peak and the softer limestone White Peak. The spectacular caverns in neighbouring Castleton and Little John's burial site in Hathersage are both well worth a visit, as are the other stately homes to be visited, including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, and Hardwick Hall to name a few. Visit the spectacular Edwardian Opera House in Buxton, which was created by Frank Matcham, who also created the London Palladium.
