The bedrooms consist of a king-size and a twin, along with a bathroom with a bath, walk-in shower, basin, washing machine and WC. Outside there is road-side parking and an enclosed courtyard with furniture. Within 0.3 miles or less you will find a shop, a pub and a river and please note that two well-behaved pets are welcome, with a £10 pet fee per pet, and this is a smoke-free property. An attractive little market town retaining a delightful rural atmosphere and offering a good selection of shops, restaurants, and pubs, as well as local farmers markets. There is an old 17th- century market hall in the town centre and a modern leisure centre with swimming pool nearby. Bakewell is situated within the Peak District National Park and is ideally placed for exploring this beautiful region. Both the rugged Dark Peak and the softer limestone White Peak are within easy reach, and Alton Towers, Britain’s premier theme park, is only a short drive away. There are many stately homes to visit including Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, and Hardwick Hall to mention just a few, while the impressive caverns in nearby Castleton and Little John’s burial place in Hathersage are also well worth a visit. Take a trip to Buxton and visit the impressive Edwardian Opera House, designed by Frank Matcham, who also designed the London Palladium.
