Many original features have been retained including a feature stained glass window and some exposed beams. The kitchen is a warm and inviting room with an Aga at its heart and a fabulous Belfast sink. The formal dining room has generous proportions and there are two elegant and tasteful sitting rooms, one with a woodburner. There are five sumptuous bedrooms, two with en-suite facilities, and the luxurious bathroom has a roll-top bath for that relaxing soak at the end of a busy day. The delightful North York Moors village of Ruswarp is just two miles away from Whitby and on the boundary of the National Park. It offers visitors a range of facilities including a public house, general store and tearoom. The viaduct crossing the River Esk is constructed out of an astonishing 5,250,000 bricks, it is 120 feet high and it was built to carry the Scarborough to Whitby railway line. It is now known as 'The Cinder Track' and is used as a walk and cycleway. There is river and sea fishing to be enjoyed in the area or time can be spent boating on the river. Along with the famous North York Steam Railway, train buffs can appreciate a trip on Ruswarp's miniature steam railway. This village is in a tremendous area for an unforgettable holiday.
The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.
