With five bedrooms including two king-size doubles (one on the ground floor with an en-suite bathroom) and three twins, this cottage can sleep ten people. There's also two family bathrooms, a ground floor shower room, a kitchen with dining area and a sitting room with gas fire and patio doors that open directly out to Lake Windermere. Outside, you will also find a utility room, ample space for off road parking, wood fired hot tub plus a patio garden with furniture. With wonderful woodland walks available from the doorstep through the extensive grounds of the estate, plus free fly fishing and a swimming pool nearby, Hammerhole is simply a superb choice for your Lake District holiday.
The picturesque village of Hawkshead still retains the charm and character that so endeared it to its most famous residents - William Wordsworth and Beatrix Potter. Cars are banned from the village, leaving visitors free to wander the wealth of tiny alleyways, thoroughfares, archways and courtyards between the whitewashed 17th Century houses. With stunning scenery and numerous attractions within easy touring distance, Hawkshead is in an ideal location at any time of the year.
