The charming villages of Hutton-le-Hole and Lastingham, as well as the National Park's great hiking trails and breathtaking scenery, are close by. The North York Moors Steam Railway, a must-do excursion for all visitors to the region, has its headquarters in Pickering. The Yorkshire Coast, Castle Howard, York, and Whitby are all easily accessible by car.
