Pollys Bower is a luxurious, dog-friendly retreat for couples set in beautiful rolling Cornish countryside with sensational far-reaching views and an elegant outdoor heated pool. It occupies a tranquil and tucked away location, amid a patchwork of fields and wooded valleys, yet is a hop from the Cornish Riviera coastline and beaches and the Tamar Valley, which is an area of outstanding natural beauty. The barn accommodates two people in one open plan bedroom with a low wall separating the bed area from the bathroom area with its free-standing bath, sleek shower and a loo tucked into the corner. On the ground floor is an open plan living room including a sitting area with wood burner, dining area and kitchen. Outside is a patio with garden furniture and a barbecue, lawn area and private swimming pool (available 1st June to 31st September between 0600 to 1200 daily). There is off road parking for two cars. The highly rated local The Rod and Line pub or Heskyn Mill restaurant is within a short walk and the vibrant city of Plymouth is 10 miles.

Saltash is dominated by the magnificent Tamar Bridge, Brunels masterpiece of engineering taking people from Devon to Cornwall across the Tamar River, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Saltash retains much of its old Cornish charm with narrow streets rising steeply from the banks of the river, and plenty of shops and interesting inns. From the old quayside there are river trips up stream to Calstock, a pretty village with white cottages on a steep hillside. Here, the 120 foot giant 11-arched Calstock Railway Viaduct towers above the River Tamar and carries one of Britains most picturesque branch lines down to the coast. Saltash offers some beautiful walks along the Tamar, and is only a five minute drive from Plymouth, with a plenty to occupy visitors including the historic Barbican quayside area with cafes, shops and bistros, the National Marine Aquarium and several theatres. A perfect base for exploring the area along the beautiful River Tamar.

Cornwalls visitors are constantly tempted back to the beautiful coastline, tiny fishing villages, hidden coves and the world-class surfing. Whatever the reason, Cornwall has long cemented its place as one of Britains premier holiday destinations.
