Located in the lower Yorkshire Dales, Crakehall is a sleepy little village that consists of two parts - Little Crakehall and Great Crakehall. The settlement lies around a large village green and offers a popular village pub serving delicious fare. Not far from Crakehall is the market town of Bedale, a traditional centre which has its own museum, weekly market and interesting churches, as well as a number of craft and antique shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs, which provide local beers and home cooked food. Also within driving distance are plenty other attractions, including the Constable Burton Hall Gardens with extensive parkland and woodland walks, the Forbidden Corner with its underground passages to explore, the lovely Georgian town of Richmond with its fine castle ruins and the Wensleydale railway line, a heritage railway.

From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer?
