31 The Wynd is a pristine third floor apartment perfectly located in the delightful town of Amble. The cottage boasts two bedrooms; a king-size double and a twin, and can sleep four people in total. There is also a bathroom with a bath, shower over, basin and WC, a kitchen with a dining area and a sitting room with a gas stove. Outside is parking and the wonderful town centre nearby. 31 The Wynd is a delightful retreat to be enjoyed by a small family, couples and friends. Note: This property only takes a minimum of 5 nights during July and August.
The seaport of Amble is situated at the mouth of the River Coquet and is an ideal place for exploring Northumberland. A centre for boatbuilding, Amble offers a marina, a harbour, sandy beaches and coastal walks to the bird sanctuary at Hauxley and country park at Druridge Bay. Large fishing boats moor along the harbour wall and land a variety of fish, prawns, crabs and lobsters. A mile south of Amble is Coquet Island, an RSPB reserve with a large population of terns, puffins and eider ducks and boat trips around the island can be arranged. The villages of Alnmouth and Craster and numerous beaches are only a short drive away.
Northumberland is a heady combination of fishing villages, market towns, sandy beaches, magnificent castles and historic Hadrian’s Wall, tied together by beautiful countryside and abundant wildlife.
