Lower Hodre is a Grade II listed, detached cottage near the Shropshire village of Bucknell. It offers five bedrooms including a family room sleeping three with an en-suite, a double, a twin with an en-suite and a further twin, along with a family bathroom and a cloakroom, the property can sleep nine. Also inside there is a kitchen, a utility, a dining room with a woodburning stove, a sitting room with a woodburning stove and a conservatory. Note: Many different steps and low beams throughout property, please take care. Not suitable for people with reduced mobility or wheelchair users. Note: Please have dogs on leads at all times. Note: Water supply from a Spring. Note: Please note that the hot tub is available at a supplement of £10 per day. Note: Electric car charging is not permissible at the property. Nearest charge point is at Craven Arms , approximately 20 minutes away

Bucknell is in the valley of the River Teme in the Shropshire Hils AONB. The village offers two pubs serving food. Nearby Craven Arms and Knighton offer a range of amenities. Ludlow, Ironbridge and Shrewsbury are all within driving distance. The Heart of Wales Railway has a station in the village.

A E Houseman once wrote that Shropshire was “the quietest place under the sun” and today the county remains something of a rural idyll, recognised as one of the least crowded and most peaceful regions in England.
