Grange village boasts two tearooms and two churches, plus plenty of pubs in the neighbouring villages. Borrowdale is a wonderful starting point for hundreds of walks – either on the mountain tops or along the bottom of the valley. The house is also only a 10-minute drive from all the facilities of the bustling market town of Keswick, with its unsurpassed range of outdoor shops and many pubs, restaurants and cafes. By day, Keswick is the ideal starting point for walkers and climbers, as well as those who want to potter around the shops or take a ride on the steam launch on Derwentwater. By night there is a cinema, or the famous Theatre by the Lake, which puts on plays, shows and concerts all year round. The small hallway leads into the sitting room with wood burner, seating for six and a smart TV. The windows look out to views of fields and mountains to the front, and yet more fields and mountains to the back. The sitting room leads into the kitchen which is fully furnished with fridge, dishwasher, cooker, microwave and plenty of storage space. It also has a dining area with a table for six people. There is a utility area with washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer beyond the kitchen, as well as an additional room with WC. Whinlatter Forest Park is just 4 miles away and has a Go Ape! high-wire course, a zip line adventure and miles of trails and footpaths for a leisurely stroll or an adventurous hike.
