It overlooks Catbells and has a stunning backdrop of Causey Pike and Barrow, both of which can be accessed from the cottage. It has been converted from a former corn mill, retaining many original features inside to offer comfortable and welcoming self-catering accommodation. It occupies a peaceful rural location set within 2 acres of garden and woodlands. There is secure storage for bikes and outdoor equipment and a handy boot area. Newlands Valley is the picture perfect valley where Beatrix Potter wrote many of her tales. The mountain scenery is wonderfully inspiring and the fell walking here is second to none. For those wishing to cycle, then the testing Newlands Pass is on the doorstep, as well as Whinlatter and Honister for the brave. An inn is half a mile away, serving good food and drink. Their beer garden is an excellent spot to watch the sun set. Keswick is only 4 miles away offering a wide selection of pubs, cafes and shops. Outside there is a sitting out area to the rear of the cottage which catches the late afternoon and early evening sun and has views of Causey Pike.
