The award-winning Rheged Centre is a short drive away from Stainton and offers something for everyone; from shops, cafes, a 3D cinema and an excellent food hall, youll find it hard to leave. Stainton is a short drive from magnificent Ullswater, the second largest lake in the Lake District. Why not explore the Ullswater Valley from the water itself and take a ride on one of the majestic steamers that crosses the lake? Aira Force waterfall is a must visit and offers plenty of walks to suit varying abilities. Take a scenic drive along Ullswater to the ever popular Pooley Bridge; stop for a coffee or bite to eat in one of the cafes, pubs or restaurants before stocking up on souvenirs from one of the local gift shops. Heading outside through those lovely French windows you will find a sheltered raised patio area with table and chairs and an arbour from where to enjoy the peace and quiet.
