Standing outside the cottage, you will see Damien Hirsts domineering statue ‘Verity standing guard over the harbour. Ilfracombe is a typical seaside town with shops, cafes and restaurants lining the road, but if you prefer to soak up the tranquillity of the coast and are keen walkers, the South West Coast Path is only a few hundred metres from your door. This cottage is a blend of traditional features, such as exposed beams and stone fireplaces, and clean, contemporary decor, which creates a sense of comfort throughout. On the ground floor, you will find the well-equipped modern kitchen/diner and the cosy lounge with its log-effect electric fire. On the second floor is the king-size bedroom and lovely family bathroom, whilst the twin and bunk bedrooms are up a further staircase on the third floor with a shower room and WC. All the bedrooms are a good size and are light and airy. Outside, there is a step up from the landing to a small rooftop balcony offering glimpses of the harbour, which is a great place for a morning coffee. For surfers, North Devons finest surfing beaches such as Woolacombe, Putsborough and Saunton are all within 11 miles. Kids, both young and old, will love quirky attractions such as Combe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park (7 miles) and Watermouth Castle (3 miles).
