The beach is good for fossil hunting and wild swimming and is popular with local surfers in the winter. The park backs onto the Quantock Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which offers endless walking opportunities. Head along the coast and visit Watchet (3 miles) with its marina, or the coastal town of Minehead (12.5 miles).
